AVCare Description:

AVCare (aka AV Care) is another rogue anti-spyware program that attacks a random system via security backdoors and firewall flaws; therefore it mostly infiltrates weakly protected systems. However, the trojan viruses involved in AVCare distribution are capable of compromising even sophisticated antivirus tools, so beware and don’t feel too secure about your computer even if you have the most cutting-edge antivirus defense. Once AVCare gets on board a new host system, it entirely integrates itself with it by creating a number of its own registry entries and files in the system32 folder. Consequently, AV Care will launch pretty much each time you log on to your OS. When operating, AVCare displays fake security scanners and deceptive alerts that tell you about malware which is supposedly found on your PC. Then, having brainwashed you into believing you actually have malware problems, AVCare suggests a solution, which is (guess what) – AVCare full commercial version that requires a payment before it can be unleashed to handle the “detected” infections. Remove AVCare associated registry entries:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AV Care
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\AV Care
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “AV Care”
