System Guard 2009 Description:
System Guard 2009 (AKA SystemGuard 2009) is the latest and one of the most menacing rogue anti-spyware programs propagating throughout the web currently. The essence of System Guard 2009 and its ultimate objective is to pretend to be a trustworthy malware removal tool, while in fact it’s a fake computer security application. The malicious activity of System Guard 2009 on your PC may commence with the infiltration of its trialware which may come bundled with an affiliated Trojan of Vundo or Zlob type. The intrusion of System Guard 2009 trialware will be typically followed by generating fabricated security alerts claiming your PC is in danger coming from corrupt malware programs. The above Trojan is also known to attack web browsers to modify the settings and thus illicitly redirect your web surfing to its website with malicious scripts and tons of misleading information. Having System Guard 2009 on board, you are also more than likely to get fake system scans that will list a variety of infections that cannot be terminated unless you purchase System Guard 2009 so-called “commercial” software. You need to know that all System Guard 2009 efforts are directed towards gaining purchases of its licensed utility, no matter how deceptive and unlawful its tactics are. Remove System Guard 2009 immediately once you’ve spotted the evidences of its presence on your PC.

Susy,
You should try deleting the corrupt files and registry entries in safe mode which can be accessed through pressing and holding F8 when your windows boots up.
If you are not sure how to work in safe mode, you may try the automatic removal tool by following the links above.
Thanks for using Windows Protection!

I already have Spyware Doctor and it removed some programs including backdoor.agent!sd6 and backdoor.IRCFlood and it quarantined trojan.virtumonde. But the System Guard 2009 stuff still pops up when I load ie. It doesnt seem to be working to remove System Guard. What do I do? I may go ahead and do manually, but not too sure about that. I read somewhere that I needed to do a system restore and then remove the stuff in safe mode, but my system restore doesnt pop a date for me to restore to. HElp.

Padman,
If you cannot download the automatic removal tool on the infected computer, you should try donwloading it to a PC that is not contaminated. Then, save it to a CD or flash memory, and in this way transfer the remover to your machine.
Thanks for your question!

I downloaded the removal tool and also the Spyware Doctor. I still cannot get rid of the System Guard 2009, which keeps popping up on signon and at other times. I had downloaded Norton prior to the download of the removal tool and Spy Doctor. Was this a mistake, and if so what can I do to fix? Help!!

This is helpful, I think that I have eliminated this malware. Still, there are two things that I’d take note of that have not been mentioned.
#1. If you don’t own Spyware Doctor, then you’re gonna have to buy it. After all, the download file IS Spyware Doctor. If you do buy it, I would NOT buy it through your malware infected computer. But you can still USE the trail version of Spyware Doctor, let it run it’s scan, and when it shows your infected files and where there are saved, delete then manually. That’s what I did.
#2. If you’re gonna use the download file (Spyware Doctor) , I had to download it from another computer and use a flash drive to transfer it to my computer. Why? Because all the infections on my computer crippled my internet access. I tried IE and Mozilla, no luck. Anyways, it doesn’t stop there. When I finally got the .zip file for Spyware D on my computer, it wouldn’t open. I renamed the file and it worked! Apparently the malware is triggered to stop you from running the .zip file but only if it’s named, “sdsetup”
Hope this helps you guys.
